BOATS

 

The Black & White Group offers boats in the Malaysian market which are unique.

Polyethylene construction sees these as the most durable and environmentally tough boats available.

Asked by the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia and commissioned by MKN to demonstrate source and demonstrate boats suitable for use at kampung level, The Black & White Group proposed and demonstrated its 3m product in front of representatives from Police, Army, Bomba, MKN, and others.  Demonstrating the sheer toughness of the boats was easy; we dragged them off the back of a truck onto concrete and then dragged them to the water (after jumping in and on the boat while it was on the concrete)…. No damage!

The Black & White Group has proposed to the Prime Minister’s Department a solution for first level disaster relief in times of flooding at kampung level.  The proposal sees a 3m boat being located at each flood prone kampung to enable residents to get themselves to higher ground before needing to call for further assistance.  This proposal (made through our Government Unit marketing partner LMT Maritime Sdn Bhd – www.lmtmaritime.com) is under consideration currently and it is hoped that it can be implemented before more lives are lost.  Call us if you would like to view a synopsis of this proposal.

The range of boats available is broad and all are well suited to the harsh environmental conditions in Malaysia.  White water or deep flowing rivers are not an issue.

 

EMERGENCY BRIDGES

 

In meetings following our first demo of boats with MKN we were asked to propose a portable lightweight emergency footbridge for occasions when flooding has carried away access bridges.

The Black & White Group has designed three styles of bridges from a footbridge to a bridge for light truck transport.

All emergency bridges can be readily transported, are lightweight and can be constructed by two men in a very short time.

Constructed from Polyethylene these bridges are environmentally tough and can be left in the jungle for years without deterioration.

Once a river or water stream has been crossed the bridge can even be pulled across and moved on to the next crossing.
